Season Recap
In an absolutely historic season, the Arrows collected a flurry of 'firsts', including:
- First Time Winning the Division
- First Post-Season Appearance Ever
- First Championship Weekend Ever
- First Championship Final Appearance Ever
With a renewed presence after over a year away from competition, Arrows Rugby put up some big scores and won both the Red River Quarterfinal and Semifinal Matches in the dying minutes of those games. Facing the Austin Blacks in the Final, the Arrows were greatly humbled and now understand the standard required to compete at the National level.

ADAM SMYTH named Club President
After a historic season, the Arrows have named its 3rd President since its establishment in 2016. CLICK HERE for a brief club history. More than 100 men have "carried the shield" in a competitive rugby match for the Arrows. From humble beginnings (including a 1 - 9 inaugural season record) to this season's TRU Championship appearance, the Arrows are poised to continue their trajectory.
After 6 years of club leadership by those present in our first season (3 years by Founder Mike Schaad, then 3 years by Blake Pellerin), the torch will be passed for the first time to someone who came later, though not by much. Adam joined the Arrows in our 3rd season and has contributed greatly on and off the pitch since Day 1.
"I don't believe there is a better person to take the helm of the club at this moment than Adam. As a man I admire both for his conviction of faith and for his unmatched on-field contributions, Adam is a uniquely unifying presence. I am super pumped to follow Adam's leadership into the future of Arrows RFC."
Blake Pellerin, making way
Adam is Chicagoland native and graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Here in Houston, he has served as a youth minister at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, is a parishioner at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, and is currently a Campus Minister and Theology Teacher at St. Agnes Academy.
