Return to Activity

Out of an abundance of caution and in charity to our teammates, their families, and the greater rugby and faith communities, Arrows RFC have established a Return-to-Activity Task Force who have been asked to evaluate latest case data, research and guidance, set and communicate policy, and encourage policy execution among the Arrows Rugby members. The Task Force is closely monitoring the following:

All questions, concerns, and suggestions should be directed to the Task Force

Task Force Personnel

  • Norm Dillon, Vice President (Head of Task Force)
  • Brett Owens, Secretary (Risk & Legal)
  • Page Karsteter Team Medic (Medical)
  • Jason Kimball, Boardmember (Athletic Administration)

General Guidelines for Symptom Monitoring

  • TeamSnap Health Check before arriving for every team activity
  • Flash Health Check green-screen to task force rep upon arrival
  • Get temperature check upon arrival
  • Engaging in high risk activity (indoor bars, etc) within 14 days of event excludes a player/member from activity
  • Report positive tests to Task Force immediately so the club can consider necessary action; potentially suspending club activity

Progression of Activity

Arrows' Return-to-Activity task force has established the Club's policy that will allow us to prudently start the rugby season by honing basic skills, training for fitness and building team continuity. Rather than starting from scratch once we've reached Stage 5, below is our plan to smoothly "shift gears" as we progress through the stages to full competition.

Stage 3: Non-Contact (CURRENT)

  • Focus on Skills & Fitness
  • 6ft distance, masks required at training
  • No touch rugby

Stage 4: Limited Contact

  • Touch rugby allowed
  • Tackle contact allowed
  • No rucks, scrums, mauls, or lifting in lineouts
  • Intrasquad scrimmaging allowed
  • Masks required for coaches/admin; encouraged but not required for players

Stage 5: Full Contact; no limitations

For all questions related to our Return-to-Activity policy and protocols, please contact Task Force Lead (and Club Vice President) Norm Dillon here:
